Convex safety mirrors have a number of application and are a necessity to many businesses concerned with safety and security. These items are also referred to as convex, dome, traffic and 360 mirrors. Because there are so many uses for convex safety mirrors, they are used for commercial as well as home purposes. Many retail stores use them to monitor activity in store aisles. Also, warehouses, industrial environments, government buildings, construction companies and parking lots use them to avoid traffic accidents. Additionally, many home owners use them if their driveways have obstructed views as they approach the servicing streets to their properties.

Where can convex mirrors be used? Pretty much anywhere that has a blind corner. Although, with 360 degree models, people can monitor surrounding areas on a panoramic level which makes some jobs possible or at least simpler.

While retail outlets benefit from mirrors that provide them with 90, 180 or 360 degree angles, other places concerned about safety use these for the similar purpose of monitoring people; i.e. schools, correctional facilities, community buildings, etc. A popular feature in some of the styles available is that owners can insert security cameras in or behind the mirrors so they have have recorded surveillance capability.

There are a handful of shapes available in these security mirrors. Some can fit in 90 degree corners, others can fit into a 180 degree wall intersection and others can simply mount on any flat wall/ceiling.
